Olayinka Aremu is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Public Health Nurse. With over 9 years post-qualification work experience as staff nurse/midwife, nurse educator, geriatric nurse, emergency nurse and currently works in the Stroke Unit of the Mater University Hospital, Dublin Ireland. Olayinka is a product of the Department of Nursing Science, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife as an undergraduate and postgraduate student. Olayinka hails from Ilaje local government in Ondo state Nigeria. She was one the executives of the Nursing association NUNSA and acted in the role of public relation officer (PRO), 2008-2010 session and one of the presidential candidates, 2011. Olayinka was the vibrant class representative of her set 2006-2012, a source of admiration for her brilliance and exceptional academic performance right from her undergraduate days (Most admired female 2010-2011). Olayinka was one of the best undergraduate nursing students of her set and it was not surprising that she was one of the candidates that made PhD grade in her set during here postgraduate study. She had all her basic nursing education (General nursing, midwifery, and public health) in OAU and barged Master of Science degree in Community Health Nursing with good grade from the same university. She is current a PhD student at the Trinity College Dublin where she is researching about care transition interventions for older patients. Olayinka demonstrates acuity, good understanding of research process and a strong inclination for originality. She is a budding scholar and possess strong potentials for academic pursuit. She demonstrates keen interest in research and scholarly writing as evidenced by the completion of her programme within the stipulated period and publication in peer reviewed journals. Her passion for knowledge and quest for personal and professional growth is equally commendable. She is industrious, astute, creative, highly motivated, and reliable. Olayinka is particularly selfless and equipped with a reasonably great analytic and enquiring mind, her motivation and zeal for acquisition of more knowledge in her chosen career, as well as her tenacity to pursue a task to a logical conclusion motivated her to founding Synergy International Nursing Network, an initiative birthed from the need create a network that connects nurses to their international nursing dream, home or abroad. In her words, I have always aspired to be a Nurse leader from undergraduate days. My motivation started from the use of Foreign textbooks written by nurses and other nurse leaders around the world. If they can do it, why can’t I? With a zest for innovative development in nursing, research scholar, a nurseprenuer dedicated to promoting the health of the vulnerable population with great zest for innovative and remarkable development in nursing practice. Olayinka is the CEO of Prim and Proper Collections whose medical branch recently started a health and wellness initiative aimed at promoting public health and increase health awareness of the people as well as giving helping hands to students in form donating medical supplies to individuals and schools, sponsoring health tour, and giving small bursary or scholarships to poor and intelligent students. She is also the founder of the Phenomenal Nurse (TPN), a network of nurses in business and the host of Nurse Coach Ola where she provides rewarding career mentorship and consultation for young and aspiring nurses.
