Nurses, the most ethically responsible Professionals – CESVO

The Centre for ethics and self value orientation ( CESVO ) has presented the award of the most ethically responsible professionals to the National association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Lagos state chapter. This award is coming at a time the public have seen nurses as the most insulting set of professionals.

In a letter addressed to the NANNM chairman, Lagos state chapter, Com Olurotimi Julius Awojide, the Centre for ethics and self value orientation is a lokoja based international non-state actor majored in exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership , promoting ethical education and value orientation of global citizens.

We do annually engage our 1500 whistle blowers across the 774 LGAs in the conduct of secret independent assessment project of both federal, states, Local governments and FCT with a view to conducting an independent multi sectoral secret assessment project using instruments like opinion polls, interview with informants, sample opinions, questionnaires, and project site visitations without prior knowledge of our subject of assessment to avoid any possible influence on our work, the letter said.

At the award presentation ceremony which was held at the NANNM secretariat in Lagos yesterday, Awojide who was inducted into the Hall of fame as an ambassador of ethics and conscience and was presented a leadership performance appraisal score card thanked the organization for the honor well deserved. In his words, Nurses world all over are the most trusted group of professionals who are always there to care and comfort when the need arises.
He charged nurses to continue being a good ambassador of the profession wherever they find themselves .
